Understanding Putin's Invasion of Ukraine

Wednesday, May 18th
6:30pm - 8:00pm
via Zoom

This virtual event will explain the history and animosity between Russia and Ukraine, as well as details on the present conflict, and will be presented by Brandon Gauthier, Ph.D. Dr. Gauthier is the Director of Global Education at the Derryfield School in New Hampshire and an Adjunct Professor of History at Fordham University in New York.
Donations Now Accepted

The library is now accepting donations in preparation for our Friends of the Library's upcoming book sale! Drop off small amounts of your book and media donations at our Circulation Desk during our operating hours or call ahead to drop off multiple boxes of donations.

Please note that the library does not accept donations of newspapers, encyclopedia sets, student textbooks, VHS tapes, or electronic devices.
The Friends of the Library book sale is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 11th, from 9:00am to 2:00pm. The Friends of the Library will also host their annual meeting and friends-only pre-sale event on Friday, June 10th, from 5:15pm to 7:00pm.
Celebrating Mothers, Mental Health, and Baking

This month we celebrate motherhood with a display of books that include Because You're Mine by Rea Frey and Class Mom by Laurie Gelman.

Our Mental Health Awareness display features non-fiction titles that include The Awakened Brain by Lisa Miller and A Molecule Away From Madness by Sara Manning Peskin.
May also features World Baking Day, so we're showing off some yummy recipes with titles that include Bake Until Bubbly! by Clifford Wright and The Vegan Cake Bible by Sara Kidd.
New Titles This Week
Resident Fast Facts

The Merrimack Wastewater Treatment Plant will be closed to the public and
sewage/sludge/compost haulers beginning at 11:00am on Friday, May 20th, thru Sunday, May
22nd. The plant will resume normal operating hours on Monday, May 23rd, at 7:00am.

Merrimack Parks and Recreation will host Parents Night Out next Saturday, May 21st! This fun-filled evening of games, crafts, pizza, and more will be held in the Wasserman Park Function Hall. Advanced registration is required, as space is limited.

The Merrimack Hike Club will host a hike through Merrimack's Grater Woods next Sunday, May 22nd, at 11:00am. This hike is open to all Merrimack residents; no registration required.

Monday - Thursday 9:00am to 8:30pm
