Thanks to CBF Action & Restoration Program Educators!
TLVC would like to thank the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s Student Action & Restoration (StAR) Program Educators who brought a virtual program to Lebanon. On March 23, CBF Educators, from across the bay watershed, came together to teach local students about our Quittapahilla Creek and the landscape of the Quittapahilla Education Wetland Preserve, located in the heart of Lebanon County.
Students investigated the health of the stream and how land use impacts stream health. The educators shared their on-site experience at the Preserve and talked about the life in the wetland, what impacts this ecosystem and how the students can help.
Local teachers and students participated in the program and shared the information in their classes. We hope this collaboration will inspire more on-site events with the CBF StAR team in the future.
