Special Purim Shabbat Service
Friday, March 18, 7:00 pm
The whole Megillah ....ish
Ladies, Gentleman and Children of ALL AGES:
Join us in the TBC sanctuary next Friday in your favorite costume and MASK!** We will have an abbreviated Shabbat Service followed by a community wide English Megillah reading. Serious merriment is guaranteed.
Please BRING boxes of small Macaroni. They will help us make noise (think HAMAN) before we donate all to a food pantry.
Hamantaschen and treats for all!

Saturday night, March 19th from 7:00 pm-10:00 pm
An adult evening to eat, drink and be a community
Starters and desserts with a Persian flair
Lots of Wine and Special Drinks
Mordecai’s Martini, Vashti’s Vespers,
Hamen’s Highballs and Esther’s Elderflower Special
Come in costume (masks or full regalia) and join in friendly competitions with cash prizes!
- Best Mask (Covid and Non-Covid styles) – bedazzle away
- Best Facial Hair – natural or synthetic, non-gender specific (only your hairdresser can tell)
- The Story of the Evening – A true (or mostly true) tale from your life
We have arranged for babysitting, which will happen in the school portion of the building. Have your children come with sleeping bags and snacks – we will provide the rest. If you are taking advantage of this, please reserve a space by texting Susan Farber @ 203-912-2521 no later than noon on Friday. March 18th.
The evening is open to current and past TBC members and friends and family of current and past members. The suggested donation for the evening is $10 per person for members and $15 for non-members and friends. All attendees are asked to provide vaccination proof (if not already on record at TBC).

Adult Ed Program - Messiah Musings
Tuesday, March 22 @ 7:30 pm
Please join us on Tuesday evening at 7:30 via Zoom for a conversational dive into the multiple origins, perspectives and practices concerning the Messiah in the Abrahamic Faith Traditions. Cantor Harriet will be joined by Reverend Will Fisher of Redding Episcopal Church and a Scholar from the Muslim Community of Wilton for a discussion around our various beliefs, traditions and tales about "The Messiah"! A question and answer period will
follow the discussion. You must register in advance to attend by clicking here.

Jack and Ella Misita's Mitzvah Project -Pajamas & Books!
Help Ella and Jack Misita with their Mitzvah Project to bring new pajamas and books to children in need! Donations sought for Pajama Program! This organization emphasizes healthy sleep habits as an integral part of children’s health. There will be a bin in the TBC lobby through April 30 where you can place NEW pajamas (in any size), and NEW children’s books. If you’re unable to donate these items, but wish to contribute, you can make a donation to using the TBC's donation form, earmarked for Jack and Ella Misita’s mitzvah project, and we will be happy to purchase these items on your behalf. The movie 1945, as reviewed by Allen Kopfstein, "has a somber, compelling theme. Two Jews return to a Polish town at the end of WW2 causing the town residents to fear that the Jews will reclaim their confiscated properties and wealth. Outstanding cinematography and acting. A gripping drama".

Command [Aaron and His Sons]
Levitictus 6:1-8:36
- The five sacrifices that the priests are to perform are described. (6:1-7:38)
- Limitations on the consumption of meat are delineated. (7:17-27)
- Details about the ordination of Aaron and his sons as priests and the preparation of the Tabernacle as a holy place are given. (8:1-36)
Parashat Tzav opens with a command to Aaron, the high priest. It's a moment to think about leadership -- who are our leaders and what do they do? Rabbi Rick Jacobs, president of the Union for Reform Judaism, discussess what it means to be a leadeer, and who among us should take a leadership role. (Spoiler alert: it's all of us!)
