Hello friends!

Lately we've had a lot of customer requests for some helpful or how-to emails... and we loved that idea!

We hope you find the information helpful... and enjoy the happy COUPON we included, as a thank you for reading our emails.

Feel free to reply if you have any questions or if there's another topic you'd like us to cover in the future.
I have so many images... HOW do I find what I'm looking for???
Here at DJI, we obviously have a HUGE clip art collection... and some of you probably do too. 😉 But even if you have just 4-5 different sets, finding exactly the right image for your project can be a daunting and time consuming task!

So today, we're going to show you a great way to make that process much faster... and much easier.
FIRST... we highly recommend saving all of your DJ purchases in one place. Create a DJ Inkers folder that you will save to every time. It can be within your Documents or Downloads, or even better, on an external drive or USB drive. This will really help streamline your search... and, more importantly, it gives you a back-up and place to store your DJ downloads that can move from home to school or work.

Of course, we can refresh your previous purchases for you any time, but this will save you a lot of time and trouble!
We'll include screen shots for you below, but please keep in mind, if you have a newer computer, an older computer or a MAC... your exact set up and terminology may vary slightly from one computer to another.
To begin your SEARCH... open your DJ Inkers folder on your computer.
For this example, we are searching within our downloads folder. Note the search box near your folder menu and file path.
You can search a big group of folders, a small group, or even just search inside one folder. Either way, have your window OPEN to the specific location you want to search. You'll use that search box to type in what it is you're looking for... and click enter/return.
Your search could be as simple as 'butterfly' or 'summer.' Just keep in mind, the search function can't 'read images,' just file names and folder names. It's also helpful to click 'View' on your menu bar and choose 'Large Icons.' (That way you can see the images instead of file names.)

All DJ images are named like this: DJI_product name_image name.
Unless you're working with very old DJ floppy images, we've tried to keep our file naming pretty straight forward and use names like girl 1 (instead of Abby).

By default, your search will return results that include your search word in the folder name OR the file name (alphabetically). You may need to try another word or search term if you get no (or few) results.

So if you have Zen Doodle Butterflies, that whole download folder will be in your results, along with every individual butterfly image from that set and every other set you have in that folder.

NOTE the green progress bar. Let it finish (turn white again) if you want to see all results in that folder. Our search had returned 322 so far, but finished with 439 butterflies!!
Once you see the image you want, you can click on it... and simply drag & drop it directly on to your project.

OR, you can right click on the image you want... and choose copy, then go to your project, right click on the place you want it and choose paste (Ctrl+V).

OR select 'Open file location' if you want to open the set that image is found in (ie. Dazzle June.)

That's it! It really is a piece of cake once you've tried it once.
We hope this helps make your creative process a little easier!
Thank you for your time and for supporting our family company. 💜
