Presbyterian Women Hold Fall Gathering on Saturday
Join Presbyterian Women of the James for a virtual gathering on November 6. Register now to receive the Zoom link. During the gathering, learn about this year’s Horizons Bible study, “What My Grandmothers Taught Me,” from keynote speaker Rev. Rosalind Banbury. Nancy Long, moderator of Presbyterian Women Synod of the Mid-Atlantic, brings an invitation for the in-person Summer Gathering at Massanetta in 2022.
Ampthill Welcomes Friends to New Playground
Ampthill Church celebrates the opening and dedication of its renovated community playground on November 6. At 3:00 p.m., visit Let It Shine Playground for food, fun, and play. A portion of the project was funded by a grant from the presbytery’s Small Church Ministry. The playground is behind the church, at 2800 Falling Creek Ave in Chesterfield County. 
Three Chopt Hosts Christ and Neighbor Friday
Three Chopt Church invites you to connect with others in community while enjoying local flavors. On November 12 at 6:00 p.m., the church hosts Christ and Neighbor Friday at Hardywood Brewery (2410 Ownby Ln) in Richmond. Rev. Congregations Share Space and Faith
Two congregations from different denominations now have one address in the Northern Neck of Virginia. Campbell Memorial Presbyterian Church and Living Water Lutheran Church have begun a partnership that allows the Lutheran congregation to use space in and operate from the Presbyterian facility.
Prepare Now for Earth Care Certification
Is your church active in earth care or interested in becoming more involved in being stewards of God’s earth? Use Earth Care Congregations: A Guide to Greening Presbyterian Churches to find ideas for earth care projects. To become certified as Earth Care Congregations churches take the “Earth Care Pledge” and complete activities and projects in the fields of worship, education, facilities and outreach. Submit your application January 1 to February 15 of the calendar year in which you’d like to be certified.
