It's true. Our volunteer stream captains often have trashy jobs. They spend their free time coordinating stream clean-ups of garbage and other refuse that have made their way to our local parks and streams.
There are, however, some rewarding perks to being the eyes and ears of our local waterways. Just ask Bubba.
Carl "Bubba" Gold attended the GVC's Adopt-a-Stream training earlier this year. He now monitors a small tributary to Minebank Run.
