St Anthony Church Newsletter
In the Eucharist, Jesus miraculously nourishes us with his body, blood, soul, and divinity and, therefore, provides for our spiritual hunger. We are spiritually fed every time we receive communion.
Reflect on the miracle of the Eucharist. Do you believe that Jesus is really present—body, blood, soul, and divinity—in the Eucharist? If you struggle with this, ask God to help you believe.
Reflect on the gift of the Eucharist and thank God for His presence here.
Here is a simple prayer of thanks:
“God, may the grace of this sacrament strengthen me to love you more faithfully.”
Last week Bishop Betancourt administered the Sacrement of Confirmation to our students. It was a beautiful evening!
There will be a Benediction and the Litany of the Most Blessed Sacrament immediately following the 11:15 AM Mass on Sunday.

 Convalidation of your Marriage

Convalidation is bringing your marriage into the Church. Unlike a civil service, a sacramental marriage brings a 3rd partner, Jesus. The Church sees marriage as far more than a contract, It is a loving sacramental bond where you receive God’s grace, strengthening your foundation. So if you had a destination wedding, were married at a park or venue, or if your spouse isn’t Catholic, this information session is for you! Deacon Domenic Stolfi will be at the Parish Center on Wednesday June 16th at 7:00 PM in the Faith meeting room and can answer any questions you might have. Registration is not necessary.
Thank you to all our teachers!
We have now finished the final sessions and sacraments of our faith formation classes this year. I wish to thank all the families for their support during this certainly different year. We communicated very well in keeping quarantining students home, as well as teachers! I pray that you all continue to nurture your child’s faith through family prayer and attending weekly Mass together here. God never takes a vacation from us, let us also do the same. We wish our volunteers, who gave their time weekly, a beautiful, healthy and restful summer. Thanks so much to, Amber, Ann Marie, Beth ,Cara, Carrie, George, Br Juan, Julianne, Jill, Josephine, Leanna, Lisa, Michelle, Molly, Br Nathan, Rachel, Tara, Taylor, Tricia, and Trudy!

Volunteers Needed:
  • We are looking for someone to coordinate our Health Ministry. This volunteer should have a health professional background. They are responsible for coordinating the blood pressure screening once they are restarted, hopefully soon.  They also are responsible for our AED devices. This includes regular testing of the device and the certifications for the users.
  • Now that our parishioners are returning to Mass on the weekends we need to re-establish the Usher Ministry. Ushers welcome and assist attendees before Mass. They are responsible for the collection of offerings during Mass and properly securing them after Mass. There are occasionally special feast days that require additional assistance.  If you have previously been an usher please let us know you are able to return.
  • For more information on either ministry please email David Byrne, the Volunteer Coordinator or call the parish center 203-758-4056 ext 17.
