Mission Sunday

Faith without works is less than what God desires from us; and less than what God desires for us. It is through faith in action that we allow God to school our souls from their self-centered focus to an other-oriented emphasis characteristic of Christ’s witness.

We are inviting members to engage with our mission & outreach ministry as a body several times throughout the year. The first such is Sunday, March 17, 2024.

At this first event, we have a goal of the following:

  • 50 Young Adult Cleaning Essentials baskets
  • 15 Children’s Easter baskets

MISSION SUNDAY TASKS:

Doing a hands-on congregation outreach activity (assembling Easter and household cleaning kits) for Wellroot (formerly The United Methodist Children’s Home), assisting young people living in and/or aging out of foster care.

HOW TO HELP:

  • Donate a completed Easter basket.
  • See specific requirements.
  • Bring it to the Altar on March 10 or 17.
  • Help us make Easter baskets on March 17.
  • Bring supplies to help make the Young Adult Cleaning Essentials.
  • See specific requirements.
  • Bring the supplies to the Altar on March 10 or 17.
  • Help us make Young Adult Cleaning Essentials kits on March 17.
  • Donate supplies and have them delivered to Saint Mark before March 17.

• Complete Young Adult Cleaning Essentials basket: $70.

• Complete Easter basket: $20.

Easter Lily

Easter is a time to remember the special people in our lives—those who have gone from us, and those who are still enriching our lives! Give an Easter lily in their memory or in their honor. A list of those being honored and remembered and their donors will be printed in the Easter bulletin.
