Continuing to Ship Humanitarian Aid
Shipment Headed to Haiti
An Angels of Hope container was loaded on Tuesday, March 28 for our friends in Haiti.

The load was prayed over by staff and volunteers who were on campus. The shipment was filled with the following items:

  • 360 Home Care Kits
  • 266 disinfectant wipes
  • 171 16.9 oz. antibacterial hand cleaner
  • 840 Personal Dignity Kits
  • 840 tubes of toothpaste

Value: $51,790.00

We are grateful for Food For The Poor and ter programs like Angels of Hope. Our partnership with them, allows us to touch lives and hearts in their times of crisis and with supplies that we may take for granted. Thank you for your continued gifts and prayers to support our mission of serving others around the world and around the corner.

Next Stop: Guatemala
On Wednesday, March 30, a second container was loaded. This one is headed to Guatemala, requested by our partner, Food For The Poor. Your volunteer efforts in collecting items for kits, assembling and verifying those kits is critical in making this happen. Ensuring each kit that leaves Midwest Mission has all of the correct items, are prayed over and sent with love, makes each gift special. Your hearts connect to others, showing the amazing love of Jesus.

Sarah, Ramon, Gene and Brad ensured that all items, including the following were in the container.

  • 15 bikes
  • 14 sewing machines
  • 3,594 cloth diapers
  • 1,602 baby sweaters
  • 11,937 trash bags
  • 6 walkers
  • 31 pairs of crutches
  • 560 Personal Dignity kits
  • 1,260 disinfectant wipes
  • 14,025 work gloves
  • 7,800 insect repellents
  • 560 tubes of toothpaste
  • 9,000 cloth face masks

Value: $223,468.04

Edwardsville Food Pack
A group of volunteers from Edwardsville UMC in New Albany, Indiana packed 2,000 rice meals on Sunday, March 19.

It is the third year that board member, Pat Baumer and his wife, Sharon, travelled to Indiana to coordinate the rice meal event.

"We have formed many wonderful relationships at Edwardsville and it feels like we are going to visit family." Bob and Debby Youell do a fantastic job organizing this event." says Pat.
Off-site Mission Opportunities

Edna Wetzel from Tampico UMC in Tampico, IL talks about their recent off-site rice meal pack.

She and husband, Rod, brought in 1,000 rice meals to help people in need.
