A Message from Pastor Jackie
I write this article from Denver, counting the many blessings of this Memorial day weekend. This has been a time to reconnect with family on my Godchild’s and nephew’s graduation. As I left, Murdochs, a cowboy-style Fleet Farm, I stopped at the Veteran’s booth and received a poppy. The red poppy is a symbol of the veteran’s sacrifice originating from the poem about Flanders Fields by Major John McCrane. I give God praise and thanksgiving for the sacrifice of our Veterans and their families who loved and supported them.
The red poppy has an additional meaning for me.
Shalom,
Pr. Jackie

Celebrating our Connection with Community
Our Mission-Reduce the risks of poverty by helping people in Waukesha County meet basic needs. Hope Center is a non-profit organization that has been serving the basic needs of financial assistance, food, and clothing in Waukesha County for more than thirty years.
Pastor Roy needed help with the project to assemble a pergola for the patio area at the Hope Center. It was scheduled for May 13 and 14th. But, an unfortunate delay occurred when the kit did not arrive on time. It was to be a 2 day project with several people helping.
This assembly crew mostly from CTK got the pergola up in one day and it looks beautiful! Great Job!

Thank you CTK
Thank you CTK for your generosity in supporting the Waukesha County Food Drive. We collected 300 food items. The great majority were items from the “Big Eight” which are the items most needed by the food pantry. $620.00 was also donated to the food pantry.
On the Waukesha Food Pantry website, it states that one out of every three individuals served are children and ten percent are seniors. The underemployed and the temporarily unemployed are also served as well as individuals with disabilities or health issues.
Thank you for making a difference in the lives of our neighbors.
