is Friday, Nov. 18 

Inquiring minds of all ages are invited to enjoy non-stop science demonstration fun at 7 p.m. in the Eccles Science Learning Center Emert Auditorium (ESLC 130). This year’s theme is “Resonance,” and admission is free.

Observatory 2022

USU Observatory Public Viewing Night

is Friday, Dec. 2

All are invited to view the night sky for the USU Observatory telescope on the roof of the SER Building from 7-9 p.m. Admission is free. Important note: Please visit observatory.usu.edu before arrival, as the gathering will be cancelled in the event of cloudy or inclement weather.

Apply for Scholarships via ‘ScholarshipUniverse’

The application period Is now open for 2023-24 departmental, college and university scholarships, including College of Science Scholarships. All applications must be made through USU’s ‘ScholarshipUniverse’ online platform. The process is long, but it may be well worth your while. Note: To be considered for need-based scholarships, you will need to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid.) Questions? Contact the USU Financial Aid Office.

Science Unwrapped Friday, Jan. 20

Science Unwrapped, the college’s public outreach program, takes a winter break and resumes Friday, Jan. 20 with “Predicting Snowmageddon: Using Data Science to Design Against Disaster” with USU statistician Brennan Bean at 7 p.m. in ESLC 130. All are welcome to this free event.

Do You Drive University Vehicles?

All USU employees driving university vehicles must complete State of Utah Defensive Driving Training before operating state-owned vehicles. The training, which takes about 30 minutes, can be completed online on USU’s Institutional Learning System.
