Haitian Flag Day

We joyously marked the 221st anniversary of the Haitian flag on Saturday, May 18, 2024, in Cazale. A proud display of unity and heritage was showcased as approximately 200 of our students, past and present paraded through the village accompanied by a vibrant band. The day was filled with cultural activities, including theater performances, lively dances, and soulful songs, all culminating in a heartwarming reception at the center.

This celebration was not just a moment in time but a catalyst for a peace movement within the country. The hope is that the spirit of camaraderie and pride displayed on this day will inspire a renewed sense of unity and collaboration among all Haitians. The local media captured the essence of this event through various articles, spreading the message of hope and resilience beyond our community.

The participants expressed a deep sense of pride in the Haitian flag, recognizing it as a symbol of their identity. The sacrifices made by our ancestors for independence resonate strongly, making May 18th a cherished date for all. Despite the challenges that Haiti faces, the resilient population of Cazale remains hopeful that unity among Haitians will pave the way for a brighter future.

We are excited to announce that on June 2nd, 19 students will be receiving certificates for completing our computer literacy program. This achievement is a testament to their hard work and dedication over the past 8 months. We congratulate each and every student for their commitment to enhancing their computer skills and knowledge. Join us in celebrating their success and wishing them all the best in their future endeavors.
