Rooted & Flourishing in Christ's Love

"They are planted in the house of the Lord, they flourish in the courts of our God. They still bring forth fruit in old age, they are ever full of sap and green, to show that the Lord is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him."

-Psalm 92:13-15

Good Afternoon, Sisters!

Our next Bloom gathering is this coming Monday, November 22nd at 6:30 in the Parish Hall. Please bring an appetizer and your beverage of choice.**** Please RSVP here.****

Because East Cooper Meals on Wheels has decided to cater Thanksgiving dinner due to Covid concerns, Howard Harder and Christ Church will not be cooking next week. Therefore, our gathering will be fun and fellowship and bringing gifts for our adopted HALOS family, a grandmother and two children. Click here to learn about the family and to sign up for what you will buy and bring. If all the slots for clothing and gifts are filled, please consider bringing a Walmart or gas gift card. Let's shower God's love upon this family!

The Holy Spirit is truly under-girding the Bloom Women's Ministry at Christ Church and I'm excited to report the blossoming.

1) The new E-Prayer Chain Ministry is in place. If you have prayer requests, you may send them to ccbloomprayerchain@christch.org. Nancye Mullaney will receive and compile these requests, then will send them to the 31 women who have been called to serve as Prayer Warriors on this prayer chain.

2) The new Bloom Prayer Team is in place. These sisters will meet regularly in person to prayer specifically for God's blessings upon the Bloom Ministry, especially that He will glorify Himself as He causes this new ministry to grow and flourish.

3) The new Bloom Transportation Team is in place.  These sisters are standing by to provide rides to parishioners without transportation so that they can participate in the life of Christ Church.

4)  The new Reception Team is in place. These sisters are on standby to bless the parish through their gift of hospitality. This team will particularly serve bereaved families by providing receptions following funerals, as well as hosting a reception for the Bishop's annual visit along with occasional special receptions.

5)  (Most) new Bloom Groups are in place. -  With God's help, I have sorted through the permutations of requests of times and days and have placed those interested into groups. A few remain to be placed due to scheduling conflicts, and we're working on that. The newly formed groups have all received an email from me and are in the process of determining meeting times, frequency, and topic of study. A total of 60 Christ Church women are now in some form of a small group, which makes my heart so glad!! If you signed up to join a new Bloom Group but have not heard from me with an assignment, please reach out to me so that we can be sure to get you placed.

6)  Please take the time to view this lovely video about Blooming.

Thanks be to God!!
