Ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ with Praying Pelican Missions, networking with local churches around the world, and connecting mission teams to life-changing ministry opportunities.
Fruit from Kenya

In last month's newsletter, we explained all about January's trip to Kenya where Nate and Jim (Praying Pelican Missions President) encouraged the pastors that we met to take their church on mission.

Just two weeks ago Nate heard back from one of the pastors that was pictured in the newsletter. He said that he himself had gone on many mission trips alone to share the Gospel, but he had never taken members of his church with him. His desire was to go and disciple his church members in practical ministry as they served another church.

Nate asked the pastor, "Well, when do you hope to go?" (thinking that maybe they would go in a year or so once they had raised enough money). Pastor Simon replied, "next week!" Nate was excited that the vision we gave at our meetings in Kenya (Biblical vision for missions) had taken root so quickly. Pastor Simon said they felt the call from God so they were simply responding to the call to take 7 others from his church to Tanzania!

All last week Nate was receiving updates from this team of 8 serving alongside a local church. From men's and women's ministry, community outreach, to even hosting a fundraiser for a tin roof on a children's home, this team poured out their hearts to serve others.

This may seem like a small thing to many, but to us at PPM, this is part of the vision we have received, to empower people in other nations to go!
Kenya Next Steps
We are so excited to be taking the next step in the vision of PPM Global. This month PPM is stepping out in faith in taking on a new contracted partner in Kenya to help lead our operations there!

Pastor Francis (pictured above) will be leading our 365 Program, providing care for about 20 pastors/churches throughout Kenya. He will be active in creating consistent, caring partnerships for pastors/churches, providing aid in emergency needs, giving access to a relational network of ministers around the world, and empowering the church to send and receive mission teams.

If you or your church would like to hear more about the global 365 Program, Nate would love to spend time with you to share how you can be part of caring for a church and pastor in Kenya!
February Family Update
February was a month full of soccer games for the girls, a school dance, hanging out with friends, and normal day-to-day activities.

The most exciting event in February was that after 22 long weeks, Darrell graduated from Army Basic Training! We were all able to travel to Georgia to spend a day with him and witness 2 separate ceremonies. It was awesome to be there, we are so proud of him!

Following Darrell's graduation ceremony, we said goodbye to him and began the long journey to Virginia to spend a day with Laura's grandmother and other extended family members. Late that night, we continued on to Delaware to stay with Laura's parents for a few days. It was a short and sweet trip spending lots of time with Laura's brother Caleb and his family, and seeing a couple of friends. The kids haven't been to Virginia or Delaware in over 4 years, so this trip was long overdue!
