RENEWAL
The changing of seasons with the renewal of spring that follows the darkness of winter, reminds us with visual signs of the rebirth of nature that life conquers death and hope triumphs over despair.
Every Spring we look forward to this cycle of renewal and rebirth. The world is coming "alive" again. Especially this year as we face a future of re-opening our possibilities and vaccinations and new growth! While so much of this is external, the truth is that renewal comes from within. Renewal is a rebirth into something new, hopeful, familiar yet not the same as it was. Perhaps even better and fresh!

This last year has challenged us all and as our community has shared, perhaps changed many of us forever.
We have lost loved ones. We've lost jobs. Lost businesses. Suffered illnesses both physical and mental. At times we may have even lost faith. But the most beautiful thing about humanity, if you choose to see it this way, is that the moments we are the most tested are the moments where holiness and deep kindness abides. That can allow for us to have a shift in perspective or direction or find a new way of doing business or find a new way to interact with our children or loved ones and our communities and to renew.
The renewal that we see in PINKK is you. You keep expanding, sharing, supporting each other with kindness.

The journey that began in Spring of 2020 challenged many of us to change the way we think about living urgently and I hope with less judgment. Now for me urgency is no longer as much about moving as fast, but about kind intention and living every day with that purpose and mindfulness and hope. Many of us are even more open to the new possibilities that perhaps we had not considered and may enjoy shaking up the old ways and habits as shifts have occurred.
I keep my heart open for kindness for all.
What I know to be true is that it all comes down to how you process your experiences. That determines everything going forward and how you love and rise! Nature shows us how to rise and renew with the advent of Spring! Faith!
Purposeful, mindful and aware and HOPEFUL for what is ahead for all of us.

HOPEFUL
My favorite new word that defines our time now is...
"Hopescrolling, the welcome antidote to “doomscrolling.” Doomscrolling — endlessly scrolling through stress-provoking news or social media negativity — became so widespread last year that it was Dictionary.com’s Word of the Day in December. “Hopescrolling” is just the opposite — consciously using our social media feed to inspire and energize ourselves. It comes from the Twitter feed of Ted Lasso, the central character of Apple TV’s relentlessly positive (and funny) "Ted Lasso." But don’t let the fact that it came from a fictional character take away from the very real benefits of seeking out joy triggers that strengthen our resilience. I want to know: what have you been hopescrolling through over the past year? What feeds or joy triggers have inspired you during the pandemic? Send me yours and I’ll feature some here and in our Power Hours!
