Membership Corner:

If we have learned anything over the last 2 years, we now know more than ever that connection with people is critical. This is both in our work and personal lives. Please seriously think about becoming a member of the NPAA. This group of NPs are leaders in our profession and individuals that should be connected and collaborating. Connection is not the only benefit either. Our members receive other benefits as well and you can learn more about these at https://npalliancealabama.org/Member-benefits. We look forward working with and seeing you in the future.

MESSAGE FROM NPAA PRESIDENT, Joyce Loyd-Davis

Dear Members and Supporters,

I hope this newsletter finds you well and I pray everyone is staying safe.  The executive team and the steering committee met in person April 23, 2022, where we had an awesome and productive meeting.  We discussed the upcoming conference and all the planning underway to be successful in October. Please register early to attend the conference and secure your spot   We also discussed legislative matters and our efforts to build relationships within our communities.  I am happy to report we are in sound financial standings and membership is steadily increasing.  At our meeting we had testimonies of individuals that have re-joined the organization and wanted to become actively involved because they recognized the efforts of our organization working on behalf of Advanced Practitioners across the state. As always, we continually encourage you to invite other Nurse Practitioners to join our organization.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month.  I applaud those treating mental health issues and making an impact in our state. We make such a tremendous difference and we will continue to share the impact across the state. As summer quickly approaches and you embark on summer travel, I wish everyone SAFE and HAPPY summer fun.  During these summer months, our committees will continue to meet and work on initiatives and projects that benefit our organization.  Remember, if you wish to get involved please contact Denise Williams and we will get you signed up with a committee of your interest.  Thank you for all that you are doing to provide healthcare in the State of Alabama.

Sincerely,

Joyce Loyd-Davis

NPAA, President
