Happenings at St. David's
Greetings!

St. David's is blessed to spend another week with you. We want to congratulate the new Vestry members Margot Culhane, Mike Gibson, Tanya Kerr and Dave Schmidt. St. David's looks forward to your leadership on the Vestry. A very big thank you to outgoing members Kondeh Greaves, Keith Korin, Anne Shively, David Sheatsley, and H.L. Norwich. We are all so grateful for your time on the Vestry at St. David's Church.

Pray with us and read further for everything we have coming up this month! There are so many opportunities to pray, volunteer and be mindfully present in the St. David's community.

Grant, O God, that your holy and life-giving Spirit may so move every human heart that barriers which divide us may crumble, suspicions disappear, and hatreds cease; that our divisions being healed, we may live in justice and peace;through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Covid-19 Update
As of May 15th, and in accordance with the updated CDC community guidelines, Loudoun County is now at the medium/yellow level as the new variant continues to spread. As such, St. David's has updated our policy. Please click the following link for a full list of updated policies in italics.

Of note, in-person coffee hour is currently on hold at this time. We look forward to chatting and having a cup together again soon!
Special Vestry Meeting - 5/26
The Vestry will hold a special meeting on Thursday, May 26th at 7pm, via Zoom, to discuss and vote on the much-needed replacement of the deck around the preschool along with other related repairs. Please click the link here for the agenda and the Zoom link. The Vestry will also consider the source of funding the project. This action is being expedited in order to have all work completed well before the next school year begins.

At the same meeting, the Vestry will be electing new wardens and reaffirming the Treasurer, Register and Chaplain to the Vestry. Please note that there are 2 unfilled positions on the 9-member Vestry. If you are interested in serving on the Vestry, please attend the meeting and make the Vestry aware of your interest in serving St. David’s in this capacity. Under the canons of the Episcopal Church, the Vestry may make one-year appointments from qualified members of the congregation without the need to take the vote to the full congregation.

Vacation Bible School - 6/27 to 6/30
Vacation Bible School: Food Truck Party- On a Roll with God! This year VBS is based on Matthew 6:11 “Give us this day our daily bread.” This verse teaches us that everything we have comes from God and also calls us to turn to God in prayer for our daily needs.

Children will learn the important lessons about God’s ability to provide through music, bible stories, crafts, outdoor play and exploration, science and so much more! Because God loves and cares for us, we, in turn, can love and care for one another and the rest of the world. Each session focuses on different ways God has met the needs of God’s people and reminds us that God is doing this today through us.

If paying via check, checks payable to St. David's Church with VBS on the memo line. Checks can delivered/sent to the church office. Online payments can be made via our website by clicking here.
