Become a Sponsor for our 5th Annual 5K Fun Run Fundraiser
We cordially invite you to participate as a Sponsor for the 2022 Healthy West Chicago 5k Fun Run with 1 mile youth run. This event will be held in-person on August 20th with a virtual option that will run the weekend of August 20th, 2021. Participants can run the 5K virtually anytime between August 20 and 21, 2022.
Your sponsorship helps defray the cost of organizing these events and invites you to help us improve the health of our community. Funds received from sponsorships will be used to enhance programming and ensure that all residents have access to health and wellness opportunities.
End your day the Gentle Yoga way by joining Tracy Leach, Certified Yoga Instructor, for a 45-minute outdoor class of simple breath to movement postures and breathing exercises to gently connect mind & body.
This class is for any age and ability. Classes run on Tuesday nights June 7, 21, and 28 at 6:30 PM. Weather permitting.
Try making an easy and fresh mason jar salad this spring! Below is directions on how to make your own, as well as some ingredients to make, our favorite, Buffalo Chicken Salad!
Standard Directions:
Use a mason jar or small container, add choice of dressing and/or sauce.
Add protein such as Chicken on top of the dressing and sauce.
Add vegetables such as a handful of sliced Carrots and Tomatoes on top.
Add Cheese on top of the ingredients.
Add a choice of leafy greens.
Add some crunch such as a few strips of Tortilla on top.
Sample: Buffalo Chicken Salad
One Tbsp of Ranch Dressing
One Tbsp of Buffalo Sauce
2 oz of Chicken
Sliced Carrots
Sliced Tomatoes
One Tbsp of Blue Cheese
2 Cups of Spring Mix/Leafy Greens
Tortilla Strips
