Important Mask Update:
St. Mark's Weekly COVID-19 News
March 30, 2022

Dear St. Mark’s Families,

Following is this week’s COVID-19 news from St. Mark’s.

This week’s test results
Through this week's rapid testing, we learned of five positive cases in our community. This week's PCR testing on campus resulted in zero additional positive cases over the five cases from the rapid testing.

Health and Safety Task Force Updates

  • Now that we have the results of PCR tests that were administered upon return to campus (zero additional positives), the School is lifting its indoor mask requirement. Beginning tomorrow, March 31, wearing a mask indoors will be optional.

  • We will now move to a program of symptomatic testing, meaning that we will only test members of the St. Mark's community if they present symptoms of COVID-19. Our weekly surveillance testing program will end.

  • As we transition from campus-wide PCR surveillance testing to symptomatic antigen testing, all students are expected to report to Health Services for an antigen test if they experience symptoms. If a student, faculty, or staff member is not feeling well, it is essential that they take an antigen test prior to returning to in-person activity.

  • Since we are moving to a program of symptomatic testing, this will be my last weekly COVID-19 update email. If there is important COVID-related news to communicate, of course we will communicate that news to you via email.

  • After receiving guidance from EH&E, the visitor policy will change to reflect this masks optional policy for visitors, as well. They will continue to be required to comply with the vaccination requirement.

Thank you for all of your support that has helped us reach this important milestone in our School's COVID-19 protocols.
Sincerely,
John C. Warren ’74, Ed.D.
Head of School
