Bonsai are Back!
Starting June 1, 2021, the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum is officially open to the public every day from 10 AM to 4 PM.

All outdoor portions of the Museum are open to the public, but the indoor Tropical Conservatory and Exhibits Gallery will remain closed for the time being.

If you are not yet fully vaccinated, please wear a mask and maintain at least 6 feet of distance from others both in the Museum and throughout the Arboretum.

From the Archives: Bonsai One Year Ago
Last summer when the Arboretum was closed, staff pitched in to help where needed. For instance, Bradley Evans usually tends to the Introduction Garden, but learned new skills when he cared for bonsai during the pandemic.

Getting to Know the Museum
The National Bonsai & Penjing Museum is free and open to the public. It is supported in large part by the National Bonsai Foundation.

Get to know the Museum's history and curators before visiting this marvelous museum.

The Arboretum is open every day from 8 AM - 5 PM except December 25th. Some buildings and collections remain closed to ensure visitor and staff safety.
