Storytimes with Mrs. Susan
Storytimes will be held each Thursday in April and will include activities for our preschoolers, as well as board books, puzzles, and puppets for all ages (babies-5 years old).

April Features:
Getting Messy! - Our stories will look at the change in our spring weather, and the muddy mess it makes before everything turns beautiful again.
Easter/Bunnies - We will share Easter stories and learn a little bit about bunnies. Why do bunnies hop instead of walking, or flying?
Trees of Green - Our stories will look at our beautiful Earth and teach us why we should protect the nature around us. Earth Day is April 22... think about how you can encourage your little one to clean up the yard, recycle and reuse!
Metamorphosis - Our stories for this week will look at the beauty of butterflies. Through stories, songs and craft, we will learn the different phases of the life cycle of the butterfly.

Registration is not required, however it is recommended in case we would need to contact participants of any changes.

Storytimes are set for 11:30 am on Thursdays and take place prior to opening to the public in order to keep the health and well-being of all our youngest readers in mind.

In Case You Missed It!
Thank you to everyone who donated and came out for our Pi Day/Pie in the Face Fundraiser. Our final total raised was $393.09. Our total for this event well exceeded our goal and we couldn't be more grateful. Monies raised will go toward some wonderful programs we have planned for this summer.

Please keep watching for those announcements and mark your calendars for the following programs/presenters already scheduled for our Summer Reading Adventure:
Teen Programs/Volunteer Opportunities
TEENS (13-17) ONLY:
Our teen volunteers have been hard at work helping staff prepare for programs, and helping prepare the Local History Collection with Leslie. We have teens who have already reached their required school hours for the year, yet they continue to come in to give us their time and talents at the library. We have some wonderful young adults in the Chartiers-Houston Community!

Teens who need legal community service hours are also welcome to contact the library. Please speak with Mrs. Susan about the paperwork required to sign up for volunteer time.

If you know of a teen who would like to join our group of volunteers and Teen Advisory Group, have them get in touch with Mrs. Susan at (724) 745-4300 or email chcommunitylibrary@gmail.com.
