Based on public feedback, MSAC will spend the next year soliciting additional constituent participation in the building of the Independent Artist Network (IAN), a proposed artist employment initiative that would have affected Arts in Education program schedules in the coming year. As the IAN develops further, the Arts in Education program will administer its two signature programs—the Arts in Education Grant and the Teaching Artist Roster—as normal in FY 2022 (July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2022). Both programs are open for applications as of July 22nd. See below for details, and for information on two upcoming how-to webinars.

Arts in Education Grant

Applications are open now for the Arts in Education Grant, which provides matching funds of up to $5,000 to eligible, Maryland-based nonprofit organizations and government entities to support educational engagements led by Teaching Artists on MSAC’s Teaching Artist Roster.

For more information about submitting a grant application, click here.

Teaching Artist Roster

Applications to MSAC's Teaching Artist Roster will open July 22nd to support Maryland teaching artists, who are integral to the arts education ecosystem and provide supplementary arts education experiences that deepen learning. MSAC’s Teaching Artist Roster supports Maryland teaching artists and the elevation of their careers. Click here to learn about the benefits of becoming an MSAC Teaching Artist!

How-to webinars

Teaching artists or other AiE constituents seeking further clarification on either program should plan to attend one of two how-to webinars being facilitated by Arts in Education staff in July.
