KCHC/Pillar Health Launched Preventive Cardiology Services
Lead by Dr. Tim Sanborn, MD, MS
| The Preventive Cardiology program aims to reduce the community's risk of heart disease and prevent problems like chest pain, shortness of breath, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, obesity, smoking-related issues, heart rhythm problems, palpitations, dizziness, heart valve disease, and heart murmurs. Dr. Sanborn is accepting new patients and welcomes referrals from other healthcare providers in the community. | |
May is Mental Health Month Awareness Month |
Do you know the Signs of Mental Illness?
Figuring out if someone’s behavior is typical or a sign of mental illness can be tough. There isn’t a simple test that tells you if it’s a mental health issue or if someone is having an ‘off’ day. However, NAMI suggests many signs that might suggest a mental health issue in both kids and adults which are included in our latest guide for Mental Health Awareness Month.

The Importance of Keeping Your Appointments | |
It’s crucial to stick to your appointments with healthcare providers for several reasons.
We even send text message reminders about your appointment time because it matters a lot.
Occasionally, canceling a medical appointment is necessary due to childcare, transportation, or work schedules. In these situations, it’s vital to cancel and reschedule with as much notice as you can. Consistently canceling late or not showing up for appointments is not acceptable.

At the end of April, our team had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the Families Branching Out event, sponsored by the Kenosha County Association for Home & Community Education at the Kenosha County Center in Bristol. It was a fantastic event where we got to promote our Silver Lake Clinic and network with the community. We loved connecting with everyone and sharing how our clinic can support families in the area. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to learn more about us!
Our CEO, Mary Ouimet, DNP, RN, had the honor of presenting at a recent Tempo Kenosha meeting held at The Stella Hotel & Ballroom. She was joined by former director, Lydia Spottswood, making the event even more special. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to engage with such a diverse and accomplished group of women from business, public service, education, and the arts. Their dedication to excellence and community leadership is truly motivating. Thank you, Tempo Kenosha, for this wonderful platform to share!
