Jump into the Summer with Reading Recovery

Reading is the foundation for learning and why we tutor hundreds of kids each school year. This month we kicked off our Summer Reading Recovery program, which offers one-to-one tutoring by providing multisensory phonics instruction to improve reading fluency. Last year we added this program in Kings and Lebanon with much success, so we have launched Reading Recovery into our Little Miami and Deer Park school districts this year. We couldn't do this without the support of our schools and tutors!

Another Great School Year in the Books

As we wrap up the end of this school year, we want to thank everyone who partnered with Joshua's Place this year. We couldn't do it without you! 

Because of your contribution of time and monetary support:

• Whiz Kids tutored over 100 kids from Lebanon, Little Miami, and Kings School Districts. 
  

• Volunteers put together 700 to 1000 weekend packs each month of the school year.
  

• Deer Park launched their first year of weekend food packs.
  

• Care Closets provided snack programming in five school districts.
  

We appreciate each counselor, teacher, and school who partnered with Joshua's Place to meet the educational and nutritional needs of children in Kings, Lebanon, Little Miami, Deer Park, and Mason.
