Hot Dog Sales


The $180 profit reported in the July newsletter was for our first hot dog sales event in June. Our second hot dog sales event was part of the successful Garage Sale in July. A total of $1,105 was earned by selling hot dogs at the Garage Sale, with a profit of $765 for use in repairing one of our pool tables.

Library

The library looks great now. The books are clean and well organized. Thank you Faye Morton, Secretary and Marcia McKay, Past President.

Mahjong

Several members are playing Mahjong at 11am on Thursdays in Jessie's Room.

New players are welcome.

Crib

A crib tournament is planned for Monday, September 25th, from 11am until 3pm.

Cost is $10 to play.



Vital Signs for 2022

The Campbell River Community Foundation has published a report for 2022 about the Vital Signs in Campbell River.


On page 19 there's some interesting facts about seniors - see below.

Monday to Friday

The Board is continuing with plans to extend the 3-day open hours at our Seniors Center to five days starting on September 5, 2023. It's a Tuesday - so four days that week and five days the next and following weeks.


Bingo is planned for Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.- more details in the September newsletter.

Membership Fee

For the remaining months of this year the Board changed the fee to $12.50 for new members and renewing members.
