TRAILS COMMITTEE MEETING
There will be no meeting in June. We are always looking for new ideas to make our trails better than they already are. Send us your questions and updates via email!

MIND YOUR MANNERS
Most trails, if they are open, may not have public facilities that are open, so check ahead of time. Please keep dogs on-leash on any hiking trail, take your trash with you, etc. Thanks for doing your part!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

SATURDAY, June 11th, 9-11am @ ICC Library Loop
MONDAY, June 13th, 9-11am @ Rec Complex

We will have once a month Saturday trail work days in June, July & August. We appreciate all the trail volunteers.

Melrose Falls is hosting a trail workday on Saturday, June 4th from 9-3pm. They will be building stairs and removing loose rocks above a proposed picnic area. Head over to our site calendar for the specific meeting location & a site map.

** We are looking for a volunteer to help us out for a month (mid-June to mid-July) to monitor the Rec Complex trail on a weekly basis as Laura will be unable to. If this is something that you can do, please email Laura to discuss. **

If you would like to help us with trail work, please contact trails@polknc.org and we will let you know when additional workdays are scheduled. If you feel safer working on your own, feel free to walk a trail, picking up trash and moving small branches from the trails. Please don't cut any branches; if a trail needs more attention, email trails@polknc.org and we will take care of it or bring it to that trail manager's attention.
