The Storm are ICBA Division 2 Champions!
The Storm took the long and windy road up to Pennridge South Middle School on Saturday morning to take on Deep Run in the ICBA Division 2 championship game. Deep Run snuck out a 1-point win in the only regular season meeting between the two teams. In the ICBA semi-final the Storm avenged its only other loss on the regular season to Council Rock, also a 1-point game. In the championship, the Storm were not to be denied. Suffocating defense and some sharp shooting, including a 3-pointer by Kate Weikert gave the Storm an 11-3 lead after the first quarter. Maura Wiggers had some impactful assists early on for the team.

The second quarter saw Deep Run make a run of their own and close the gap to 20-13 at halftime. Coach Hall implored the team to stay the course and focus on the defensive end, which they did as they held Deep Run to ZERO points in the third quarter, extending the lead to 27-13. In that quarter, key steals by Gabby Kasser, Sarah Culbertson and Lauren Chain kept the Deep Run attack at bay. The team knew it was just 7 minutes away from its second ICBA championship and played smart, ball-control basketball throughout the fourth quarter. Lily Mattison, Madelyn Shaughnessy and Sophia Kauler came in to provide shut-down defense.

As the clocked ticked down to zero, the Storm secured a 31-16 victory. Ava Hall led the team with 15 points and 9 steals on the game, and was backed by Kate Weikert's 11 points and 4 rebounds. The Storm finish the ICBA campaign with a 12-2 record, both losses coming by one point each, and the margin of victory in the 12 wins was an AVERAGE of 14 points per game. Also contributing key players on the season were Maddie Walsh, Lauren Serpentine, Lily Lexer, Amelia Guenster and Emma Beck. The Storm now sports an overall record of 115-44 in the four years it has been together.
Check out some videos of the ICBA Championship game! Congratulations again to the Storm on a fantastic season and championship win!

GVCO Donor Spotlight
The Barrow Family - Greg, Sandi, Jack, & Ryan
Greg & Sandi both grew up in the area. Sandi is a proud GV alum. Greg owns an insurance agency, and Sandi is most proud of being a mom.

They first heard of GVCO when a little girl came to Jack’s preschool class with her Junior Hoopsters trophy. They knew immediately they had to get the boys involved, and it was love at first sight. The GVBL program was amazing & still is impressive today. Both boys played through high school. Ryan is still playing in the High School division.

In 2010 when GVCO started a youth football program with the Junior Patriots, Sandi & Greg knew their boys, 5 & 7 at the time, would be thrilled to jump on board. It was the best seven seasons ever with GVFL. Greg coached, and Sandi was a GVFL Board Member and League Representative for four seasons.

Not only playing the games & having fun over the years, but it is the life-long friends we have all made that are truly the magic of GVCO. It was essential to pass this spirit on to younger families by supporting GVCO and the new center.

We cannot wait to see all of the happy faces, young and old, at the new GVCO center.
