Greetings from City Hall,

I hope that everyone is safe, healthy, and that you are spending your newfound “down” time doing something that you enjoy.  For those of us working for the City, we are still doing everything we can to maintain the City services that are essential, as required by the Emergency Orders that are currently in force.  While the latest news appears to be very encouraging, we will be ready to go whenever the Emergency Orders get lifted, but don’t want to unnecessarily expose our employees or citizens to this virus, by rushing back for the sake of being first.
CITY COUNCIL VIRTUAL MEETING
The Tuesday, April 21, 2020, Oldsmar City Council meeting will be hosted in a virtual setting as we practice social distancing. To reduce exposure, please attend the physical meeting ONLY if you need to speak in person. You can also reach the Council by calling (813) 749-1115 or emailing [email protected] .

OLDSMAR RESTAURANTS
The Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce has graciously created a list of Oldsmar restaurants providing pickup service, drive-thru options, & delivery for residents & businesses to help you dine with a local flair.

RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE
Republic Services will no longer be able to take your Bulk Trash or Yard Waste curbside and will only take trash and recycling in designated City carts (the ones that can be picked up by the automated truck). Bulk Waste and Yard Waste can be brought to a community dumpster at the entrance to the Public Works Complex on Hayes Road between the hours of 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

ONLY THE 3 Ps DOWN THE LOO
Due to the current demand for toilet paper, you may consider other options to use. Please remember to flush only TOILET PAPER down the toilet. Wet wipes & pre-moistened towelettes may have labeling marked ‘flushable’, but they are, in fact, substantial contributors leading to clogs and overflows – sending raw sewage into your home & yard. Instead of flushing these items and non-paper products, place them in the regular trash for proper disposal. Remember to stick to the 3P rule – and don’t strain the drain.

NEW 'SAFER AT HOME' RESOURCES
Oldsmar's Leisure Services Department has been working diligently to provide additional resources for all of our residents. EXPLORE, WELLNESS, ACTIVITIES, and EDUCATION TABS have been added to our COVID-19 Resources to provide unique and engaging options while we are all 'safer at home.'

STORY TIME WITH MR. ANTHONY
The Oldsmar Public Library continues to publish a new video every Monday and Thursday for ‘ Story Time with Mr. Anthony .’ The animated videos can be found on their YouTube Channel. Be sure to subscribe!
