On April 6, a Special Primary for the 79th State Assembly District will be held. Only those who live in the 79th District can vote in the election. The area encompasses southeastern San Diego, the cities of La Mesa and Lemon Grove, and parts of Chula Vista, Bonita, and National City. If you are not sure if you live in the 79th Assembly District, you can check at https://rov.sandiegocounty.gov/rov/Eng/Voters.asp
If you need to vote inperson, polling places will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day (Tuesday, April 6, 2021). There will be fewer locations than in prior elections, so the location of your assigned poll has most likely changed. You can find your assigned polling place in your mail ballot or at sdvote.com.
If you miss the deadline, you may still conditionally register and vote provisionally through Election Day.
On Election Day, April 6, both your assigned polling place and the Registrar’s office will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Your polling place may have changed. You can find your assigned polling place in your mail ballot packet or atsdvote.com.
