Article from Ashley Tobosa:
A “father of choice” is an accurate description of my husband, Josh. So, what does it mean to be a father of choice? First, to define choice: An act of selecting or making a decision when faced with two or more possibilities. When given this option from that, how does one decide? Answer: It’s a matter of preference, one’s character, and, for most, a faith in God’s perfect plan. This is at least true for Josh.
Certainly, his greatest attribute is his love for Christ. This is recognized through his acts, his commitment and graciousness to his family and friends, and his dedication to and reputation in his career.
When Josh chose to father two children that were not biologically his own, it was more than a commitment. It was an act of faith. He’s always desired to have a family of his own, and I thank the Lord that I was part of that plan, as I too for so long desired and prayed to have a complete family.
I am thankful and proud of having a husband that constantly chooses his family, devotes his time to developing and teaching of God’s love to our three girls, and is always willing to cook our favorite local-kine-grinds!
