PES Principal Message
April 1, 2021
Puster Families,

I wanted to remind you about the Virtual STEM Festival next Saturday, April 10th from 10:00-2:00. Same fun, just a different platform! Check out the STEM Festival website to start previewing the activities. Some activities have special supplies that the district will be providing. The sign-up for those activities is on the website. Act fast though because the deadline to sign up for those supplies is April 6th!

If you haven't ordered your Puster yearbook, you have until April 3rd -this weekend. If you are not sure whether or not you've already ordered, please send an email to [email protected].

In case you missed it, you can access the recording for today's Puster Pride here.

You will find some new dates added below. We are so excited to be planning some memorable end-of-year events for our kids! More details to come on all of the fun soon!

I hope you all enjoy the long 4 day weekend. The weather is supposed to be fantastic. I'm personally looking forward to family time and some gardening projects. I will look forward to seeing all of you back at school on Tuesday, April 6th.

Puster Proud,
Holly

Learning with Your Librarian
Hello Parents!

BOOK FAIR IS HERE! Yay! Mrs. Peabody and I are hard at work preparing the fair for our drive-thru event next week. Tomorrow your students will be coming home with a wishlist and a QR code that contains pictures of all of the books in the fair. To make sure that our event runs smoothly, we ask that you and your family review the photos in the QR code and create your wishlist, prior to coming to the event. More information will be coming out tomorrow, so be on the lookout! We cannot wait to see you next week at our first drive-thru fair!

Happy Reading!

Parents,
Next week in Social Emotional Learning (SEL), we will have students be able to describe anxiety and use healthy strategies (coping skills) to handle those emotions.

School Dismissal Manager Fast Facts
Here are a few Fast Facts that you will need to know for getting started:
1.  Please use this website to log in to SDM at www.schooldismissalmanager.com. The initial login is best completed from a computer as opposed to your phone.
2.   The Parent Login area is found at the top right of the SDM homepage.
3.   When you log in for the first time, you will be required to change your password immediately.
4.   Please refer to the Parent Guide for Creating Exceptions for details on how to use the system.
5.   As you begin to use School Dismissal Manager, if you have questions, please check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) link found in the Parent login area at the top of the SDM homepage. Here, you will find answers to the most commonly asked questions. If your question remains unanswered after checking here, please contact the school office and we will be happy to assist you further.
6.   When you start to receive the email notifications of changes or cancellations that are made for your child, please keep in mind that hitting Reply or Reply All on those emails does not reply to the school. If you need to respond to a notification (i.e., to inform the school it is incorrect, provide additional details, etc.) please call the school directly and talk with someone in the office.
7.   Each school day, School Dismissal Manager will send a comprehensive dismissal report to the school immediately following the cut-off time, allowing administrators and staff to facilitate a smooth dismissal.

Thank you for using this tool to help us keep the dismissal process safe and orderly for all our students.
