FY22 SUMMER YOUTH EMPLOYMENT IN THE ARTS GRANT PROGRAM

The Illinois Arts Council Agency (IACA) Summer Youth Employment in the Arts (SYEA) application deadline is approaching! The application is open in the Illinois Arts Council’s online Salesforce system, with a deadline of December 3, 2021, 11:59pm. The awards will be announced in the spring of 2022.
 
SYEA will award up to $4,500 to eligible applicants for student employees’ stipends.
 
Summer Youth Employment in the Arts Grant Program

SYEA provides funds to eligible Illinois not-for-profit arts organizations to support summer employment opportunities for high school students. Jobs may be administrative or artistic in nature, or a combination of both. The intent is to provide positive experiences and training in the arts to enhance personal growth, while supporting the mission and goals of the host organization.
 
The application deadline for FY22 SYEA is December 3, 2021. Grant requests for Fiscal Year 2022 are for employment opportunities occurring between May 15 and September 15, 2022.
 
To be eligible, applicants must have received an IACA Program Grant / General Operating Support, Grant to Arts Service Organizations, or Partners in Excellence Grant in Fiscal Years 2021 or 2022.
