Greetings!

Time flies when you are having fun! It's hard to believe another shool year is in the books! And what a wonderful school year it was!
So many laughs and good times, new friends made, memories that will be cherished a lifetime.
As we come to the last day of school, one door closes but another door opens! But remember, once a Giant, ALWAYS a Giant!
Thank you to all those who contributed in helping another year teaching and guiding God's children.
Wishing everyone a safe and happy summer!

Dear Father,
We look back on the school year and give You the glory for all You have done for us at St. Paul the Apostle School.
We acknowledge Your providence and foresight, Your care and guidance.
We praise You for providing for each member of our school community.
You lead us in thought and action as we prepare for each day.
Your loving provision has given St. Paul's teachers who care, students who are curious and parents who support the mission of Christian education.
Your caring presence is in the day-to-day details of our school, the conversations, and the interactions.
You are present in the classroom, in the lunchroom, on the playground.
We acknowledge you as our faithful, loving God and we thank you for all you have done and are doing in the hearts of our children.
We pray for your hand to guide us as we come to the close of another school year. Thank you for Jesus and His sacrifice for us. Bless our boys and girls this summer. In your Name we pray.
Amen

Have a beautiful week and please let the parish office know if there is anything we can do for you. God bless ~

Our Dream Renovation Begins...

May 28th & 29th will be the last weekend masses celebrated in the church before we move masses in the Gymnasium for the Summer. Starting Monday, May 30th, 7:30am, daily and weekend masses will be celebrated in the school gym. Entrances will be front doors to the gym atrium and the back door by the back school parking lot. Both are handicap accessible to welcome all!

Our worship this summer may look a little different, but the pure Christian joy being felt in our pews these days will only continue to grow!
Jesus in the Gym has never been so Joy-Filled!
Asbestos Notice

Beginning June 6th, 2022 St Paul will be conducting asbestos removal in the church. This is being done as part of the remodeling in the church. Specifically, the floor tile and mastic (glue) will be addressed.  Abatement will be conducted using Ill. Dept. of Public Health licensed contractors and air monitoring personnel. The area will be isolated, negative air established, and the air monitored before, during and after the project. Air clearance tests will be conducted after the project and the results placed in an asbestos project manual. Admittance to the area will be permitted only when the air clearance results are known to be as specified by the Ill. Dept. of Public Health. The manual may be reviewed at the school office. If you have questions, please contact Richard M. Kaffka, the Asbestos Designated Person for the Diocese of Joliet at 815.221.6100 or 708.334.0585 or churchgroup@aol.com
Votive Candles for the Summer
Since we are unable to have votive candles this summer, Fr Mark invites us to personal prayer in our homes. The 3-day votive prayer candles will be available in the Parish Office for us to take home. A suggested donation of $3 would help us offset the cost of the candles. Your special intentions remain in our prayers.
Who Wants a Pew?

Did we ever tell you the New Pews being installed this summer are the Exact Same Design as a different committee had picked out in 1995? We weren’t able to accomplish this dream all those years ago, but we are able to do so today through the generosity of SO many!

Please call the parish office at 815-725-1527 if you’d like one of our existing pews! They will be pulled out the week of May 30. They are available to anyone who lets us know by May 26. Pickup only.
Confessions will start in the parish office on Saturday, June 11th.
As in the church, this peaceful and holy time will still be offered at 8:30am hosted by our lovely Hospitality Ministers, with Fr Mark hearing confessions either Face-to-Face or Private.

Come experience the release and joy this precious sacrament offers to us.
Monday Morning Adoration

Just a friendly reminder that during the church renovation there will not be Monday morning adoration.

Around the Diocese ~

St. Thomas the Apostle, 1500 Brookdale Road, Naperville, invites you to celebrate the sacrament of the anointing of the sick in the celebration of the Mass in honor of St. Dymphna at 1 pm on Saturday, May 21.
As a Catholic community of faith, we have the holy sacraments to give us strength, nourishment and healing. Anyone, of all ages, can benefit from the sacrament of anointing-as many times as needed! There are no limits to anointing, as we are all in need of healing of various troubling conditions-physical, mental, emotional or spiritual.
St. Dymphna is the patron saint of people living with illnesses in body, mind or spirit. Her mother died when Dymphna was 17. Her father struggled with emotional issues following his wife’s death. These difficulties led to St. Dymphna’s martyrdom. Cures and miracles were attributed to her and as a result highly successful treatment centers are named for her. Please come to celebrate her life and to receive the sacrament of the anointing of the sick. For information please call the main office at 630.355.8980 or contact Susan Kearney at sdkearney@comcast.net.
