Operation Cleburne Pride
Join the community to help neighbors through Operation Cleburne Pride this Saturday
Operation Cleburne Pride, an event where the city and community members work together to improve neighborhoods, returns on Sept. 8.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. volunteers will work in central Cleburne from Poindexter Avenue south to W Henderson Street and from Granbury Street east to Buffalo Street (See map for more details).

The volunteer efforts include trash pickup, bulk pickup, minor outdoor repairs, tree trimming, yard mowing, and additional services by volunteer groups. Those interested can register to help can do so at P.D. Lacewell Park, 500 Mitchell St., from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Pup pool party at Splash Station on Sept. 8
People can bring their dogs to swim and have fun in Splash Station's leisure pool from noon to 5 p.m. on Sept. 8. Cleburne Animal Shelter and will have animals for adoption as well. Prizes will be given for the winners of our Best Swim Suit Contest and Best Doggie Paddler Contest! Admission is $6 per dog/owner. The event won't stop due to rain. The pool will close if there is lightning or thunder.

Pet of the Week - Missy
This sweet girl is a 4-month-old lab/collie mix that is ready for a new home. Missy will mature to be a medium/large sized dog so please keep that in mind when adopting. Missy is fun and friendly and will make a great family dog. Don’t miss out on this wonderful pup! Missy’s adoption fee is only $25 during our Dog Days of Summer adoption special.
