Help improve the community, apply for a city board or commission today!
The City of Cleburne is looking for residents to help make their community better by serving on a city board or commission.

The City has positions open in several groups that allow more citizen input in areas such as a building and standards, planning and zoning, parks and recreation, museum advisory, economic development, and more.

“Serving on a city board or commission allows our residents to use their skills and experience to improve Cleburne,” Mayor Scott Cain said. “I encourage Cleburne residents to sit on a board or commission and directly impact their community.”

Boards and commissions require different commitments depending on the group’s guidelines. Those interested can learn more and apply online. The City Council is looking to make appointments on Dec. 11. Applications are due Dec. 7.

Pet of the Week - BamBam
Sweet BamBam is back at the shelter. He was adopted and returned because he likes to chew things so he needs to be supplied with lots of toys and would like it even more if he had a playmate. He LOVES other dogs. Keep in mind that Bam is 1-year-old. He is STILL a puppy. He may look like an adult but he is not. This guy is a Blue Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog) mix. He loves to play and has a great attitude. He is very friendly, walks nicely on a leash, and is well behaved. Come and meet this awesome dog soon!
