CALLING CAKE DECORATORS!

Do you know how to decorate cakes with buttercream frosting? We need you! The Food Glorious Food Focus Week will provide students the opportunity to learn the art of cake decorating. We are looking for parent volunteers to lead the class or offer a helping hand. The class will run 2–2.5 hours from Monday, May 23 to Friday, May 27. COURSE SELECTION FOR 2022–2023

Are you interested in creating fun events for our IS community and passionate about helping your fellow Titans? Then serving as an ASB class officer may be just right for you!
 
Attend an interest meeting to learn more about the different positions, the rules and procedures for running, and our deadlines to submit your various forms. All candidates MUST attend at least ONE interest meeting to be eligible to run.  ASB will be hosting the following interest meetings during lunch in the gym portable:

VIRTUAL MIDDLE SCHOOL NAVIANCE PARENT NIGHT

Middle School Families, join us in learning about Naviance, a program funded by Bellevue Schools Foundation. Starting in 6th grade, students use Naviance to explore interests, careers, and colleges. WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH BOOKS TO READ

Women’s History Month is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture, and society and has been observed annually throughout March in the United States since 1987. Bellevue Virtual Academy (BVA) is now our district’s 30th school! It will be a choice school for kindergarten through 12. BSD EQUITY & FAMILY ENGAGEMENT

TOMORROW, March 29, 5–6:15 PM

Dr. Terry Anne Scott will take you on a virtual walking tour of Montgomery, Alabama to explore the history of African Americans in the city. This tour will allow the audience to grasp a wider understanding of the historical significance of the events that unfolded in Montgomery and how they helped to shape modern-day race relations. SUBMIT YOUR EARTH MONTH ARTWORK

BSD Communications would like to invite students and staff to share their original visual artwork to be featured on the bsd405.org homepage banner each month. Where needed, we may need to crop the original and provide a link to the entirety of the work. For the month of April, we are looking for students and staff to share their imagery centered around Earth Month. Students and staff may submit their artwork or questions to trichelg@bsd405.org.

DRIVE-THRU DIAGNOSTIC PCR TESTING AVAILABLE FOR STUDENTS

BSD offers drive-thru diagnostic PCR testing for students who show symptoms of COVID-19. Testing is available Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Wilburton Instructional Services Center (WISC). Tests are available by appointment only, as there are limited slots each day.

UW YOUTH & TEEN PROGRAMS

UW Youth & Teen Programs registration is now open for the summer! Choose from a variety of in-person and online enrichment courses for youth entering 4th–12th grade. SPANISH, FRENCH, JAPANESE, AND MANDARIN

Foreign Language for Youth is offering online Spanish, French, Japanese, and Mandarin classes at beginner and advanced levels with opportunities to continually advance. Each lesson includes an instructional video, a worksheet for students to complete, and a 30-minute live-online conversational class with an experienced teacher. Classes are limited to 10 students. MODELING NUTRITION FOR YOUR FAMILY

Wednesday, April 6, 5 PM

The Dining Services Supervisor of Overlake Medical Center, Melicent Smith, will discuss how parents can help support and create healthy eating habits within their families. Childhood and adolescence are critical periods when individuals develop the patterns and knowledge around healthy eating that can persist for years. Find out how small changes at home can have a significant impact on the mental, physical, and emotional health of your students. For questions, email BSF.
GIRLS BASKETBALL SUMMER CAMP FOR FUTURE WOLVERINES

Calling all future Wolverines! Our Girls Basketball Summer Camp is back! The Bellevue High girls basketball players and coaches will lead 3 fun-filled days of skills and drills right after school gets out for the summer.
  • WHEN: Wednesday, June 22 to Friday, June 24. Register for the age group you'll be in next fall:
