Do you know how to decorate cakes with buttercream frosting? We need you! The Food Glorious Food Focus Week will provide students the opportunity to learn the art of cake decorating. We are looking for parent volunteers to lead the class or offer a helping hand. The class will run 2–2.5 hours from Monday, May 23 to Friday, May 27. Middle School Families, join us in learning about Naviance, a program funded by Bellevue Schools Foundation. Starting in 6th grade, students use Naviance to explore interests, careers, and colleges. Dr. Terry Anne Scott will take you on a virtual walking tour of Montgomery, Alabama to explore the history of African Americans in the city. This tour will allow the audience to grasp a wider understanding of the historical significance of the events that unfolded in Montgomery and how they helped to shape modern-day race relations. Where needed, we may need to crop the original and provide a link to the entirety of the work. Foreign Language for Youth is offering online Spanish, French, Japanese, and Mandarin classes at beginner and advanced levels with opportunities to continually advance. Each lesson includes an instructional video, a worksheet for students to complete, and a 30-minute live-online conversational class with an experienced teacher. Classes are limited to 10 students.
