The Federal government enacted the American Rescue Plan Act on March 11, 2021, which updated and extended the cut-off date for small businesses to claim Employee Retention Credits. Eligible employers can claim the refundable tax credit against the employer Social Security tax equal to 70% of the qualified wages you pay to employees from January 1, 2021 until December 31, 2021.
