TITAN ADMINISTRATORS OF THE WEEK

This week, we celebrate our FANTASTIC TITAN ADMIN TEAM! From directing traffic to keeping us safe during lockdown drills, Mr. White and Madame Sullivan do it all.
 
Did you know that Mr. White has a daughter who swims competitively? Did you know that Madame Sullivan loves to camp and canoe during the summer? Our administrators show they care about students and teachers every day. Thank you, Mr. White and Madame Sullivan, for all you do to provide us a space to teach, learn, grow, and thrive. Next time you see Mr. White or Madame Sullivan, please thank them for all they do. They are TERRIFIC TITANS!

VIRTUAL 8TH GRADE PARENT NIGHT

THIS Tuesday, March 8, 6:30 PM

8th Grade Families, join us in learning more about what high school will be like, including a brief overview of high school graduation requirements, preparation, and high school athletics. We will also talk about the importance of GPA in high school. Prior to this night, your 8th-grade students will have also received a similar presentation/talk in their science classes. "WE LIKE JESS" DAY

Dear International School Family, our beloved Jess Albrecht is leaving us for another job in the district. What!?!? How will we survive without our technology guru who fixes all our problems? To show our appreciation, let’s band together to do something SUPER SPECIAL for Jess. 

We hereby proclaim next Friday, March 11, to be International School “We Like Jess” Day! Set your phone or calendar reminder for Friday, March 11:
  • Wear the Jess Uniform: T-shirt, hoodie, jeans, sneakers, and a smile.
  • Stop by the hallway outside of Jess’s office to write a thank you to Jess on the POSTER.

SPRING MUSICAL TICKETS

This year’s spring musical, Mamma Mia, will be this weekend! No tickets at the door. Tickets are in limited supply, and sales close THIS Wednesday. Log into Touchbase under "My School" and "ASB Activities/Clubs." There will be assigned seating for family pods with 6-foot distancing to adhere to COVID guidelines. COMMUNITY HEALTH FORUM

Is it Time to Talk to Your Kid About Drugs?
Wednesday, March 16, 6–7:30 PM

In partnership with area health care partners, the BSD counseling team will offer a session entitled, Is It Time to Talk to Your Kids About Drugs? This virtual session invites students and parents to watch together and discuss topics related to substance use. Pre-registration is not required. Arts, Enrichment, and Innovation Grants

BSD educators will be sharing the Arts, Enrichment, and Innovation grants they received this year. The purpose of these grants is to fund projects that extend the regular curriculum, encourage higher-level thinking skills, enrich students through activities, and provide opportunities for innovation in classrooms. THE ART OF LISTENING

In this four-week workshop, learn how to focus and be present while another is talking, to address our listening habits that block effective communication, and to validate, understand and connect with others. Also learn the value of silence in a conversation. Each week builds knowledge sequentially; attendees should attend all 4 classes: March 22, March 29, April 5, and April 12. EXPANDED KCLS LIBRARY HOURS

Nearly all libraries will be adding a day of service to their schedules. This includes adding Sundays and Mondays, to provide seven days of service in each region. All libraries will be open later in the evenings on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. All locations will also be open earlier on other days to serve as many of the public as possible.
