Join us on Sunday Evenings for a Women’s Prayer Study and Group in the ladies’ parlor. This group normally meets at 5:00 p.m. but will meet today at 4:00 p.m. because of the Hymn Sing. This is a study on the practice and purpose of prayer through the prayers of Jesus, Abraham, Jacob, Moses, Elijah, David, and Paul. We pray to our Lord together after discussing many takeaways from the Scriptures. We would love for you to join us! Contact Kim Collins for more information (205-6166341). 


Dark Clouds-Deep Mercy A new Thursday morning women’s Bible study will begin on Thursday, February 2. The focus of this study is to “restore the lost art of lament”. The goal of this study is to help people discover the power of wrestling with questions that come with suffering or grief. We will have Coffee and Conversation from 8:00-8:30 a.m. and begin the Bible study at 8:30 a.m. in the church library. A nursery is available by reservation; please RSVP the previous Tuesday by 5:00 p.m. to nursery@evangelchurchpca.org. MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meets the first Monday of each month during the school year from 6:15—8:30 p.m. in one of the quads. Childcare is available by reservation. Nursing babies are welcome in our meetings! Our next meeting is February 6. For more information, contact Jenny Wheeler (205-729-3088). 


February Ladies’ Book Club will meet on Tuesday, February 14, at 9:30 a.m. at the home of Betty Harris (821 Maplewood Trail, Alabaster). Family Tails by our own Debbie Elliott is the book selection for discussion. Join us for fellowship,, snacks, and lively discussion. 



The Missions Committee is looking for a few people willing to share a Faith Promise testimony during the Simpson World Missions Conference. Contact Benny Collins or Steve Sanders if you are interested.  


Couples and Singles in your 20’s and 30’s, we have a new Sunday School class, Found Faithful, that started meeting last fall. We are currently continuing our study on I John and will be starting a new series on the Book of Ruth on Sunday, February 19th. Mike Stephens is teaches this class that meets every Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in Room 231. Come and join us! 


The Teach and Talk Sunday School Class will begin a new study of The Westminster Confession of Faith TODAY. This class, led by Byron Ketcham and Ralph Nelson, meets in Quad 208 during the 9:00 a.m. Sunday School hour. Join us!  


Oak Mountain Ministries Urgent Needs this month are peanut butter, jelly, cereals -- cold or hot (oatmeal, grits, etc.) condiments (ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, salad dressings, etc.), dried beans (small packages preferred), canned meats: (tuna, spam, ham, chicken, etc.), canned fruit, canned vegetables: (sweet potatoes, pumpkin, collards, spinach, mixed vegetables, etc.), canned or packaged soup, rice (small packages preferred), pasta: (spaghetti, macaroni, noodles, etc.) Please bring any items to the basket in the church office area and we will deliver them.
