Filmmaking Boot Camp @ MN Acting Studio

Students ages 14-17 will learn the ins and outs of filmmaking in this popular summer film bootcamp taught by head MN teacher and teen on set coach Matt Newton. They write, direct, act in, edit, and present their own short film in the theme that they choose (past themes included “Stranger Things,” “Marvel,” “Saturday Night Live,” and “Horror”). Over the 5 days of this fast paced intensive, students will create a 3-4 minute short film from concept to finish with a very “hands on”, practical approach, and will be using professional lighting, camera, and sound, and while learning important elements of filmmaking including shotlists, location scouting, camera angle, lighting, editing, basic color correction, as well as working on the crew (sound, DP, gaffer, key grip, script supervisor).
