THOUGHT & PRAYERS - ANNOUNCEMENTS - EVENTS
THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS

It is with sadness that we share the news of the passing of Charlie (Charles) Stahn in the early hours of Saturday, April 4, 2021 at the age of 94 years. Charlie and his wife Marion have been long standing proud members of Marshall Memorial and were very active in many aspects of this church's life, having many dear friends here.
When our lifestyle permits there will be a Celebration of Life where the family will welcome a time to gather and share in a commemoration for Charlie with friends and family. A small intimate family service will take place as soon as possible for the most immediate of family. Charlie, ever the promoter of learning, has donated his remains to the McMaster Education Program in Anatomy which will conclude with cremation.
Charlie's energy and supportive nature will be missed by his wife Marion, children Ruth and David and his brother Alex and his 7 grand children and 1 great grandchild and the many many extended family Charlie worked at keeping in touch with, and by his many friends and former colleagues.
Always loved, forever missed, never forgotten.

FROM THE TREASURER

We are so grateful to all the members who have been supporting us financially through your offerings, especially during the pandemic. We ended 2020 with Givings just slightly over what they had been in the “normal” times of 2019. That was a great achievement thanks to our faithful members. However, we often have a fall-off of Givings after the New Year. 2021 has been no different. We are hoping that the Spring will see a return to more regular giving. If you have not been able to give regularly, you can do so by:

  • Cheques mailed to the Church
  • eTransfer using marshallmemorial@gmail.com as the recipient address
  • Donate button at www.mmuc.org.
  • Start regular giving through PAD by contacting Henrietta, our Office Manager, at marshallmemorial@gmail.com or by phone at 905-648-4631.

Blessings,
Barbara Mahaffy,
