CHRONICLE
MAY 27, 2021
Mission: Communion of Saints Catholic School serves a diverse community and fosters life-long learners and witnesses to the Gospel who are committed to worshiping God and serving His people.
PRINCIPAL CORNER

I cannot believe we are already approaching Memorial Day weekend!  We are thankful that all field days were able to be held outside, with today’s being the last, ending with the 8th grade.  Mr. Caldwell has done an outstanding job creating fun activities while maintaining Covid protocols.  Our 8th grade helpers finally got to enjoy their own day today!

The second grade position is now officially filled!  Miss Emily Velichka comes to us from Mater Dei where she was the second grade teacher.  We are excited to welcome her along with Miss Courtney Phoennik and Mr. Brad Jasko, our other new teachers.  Along with Mrs. Pilla as principal, there will be many new faces next year!

Repeating from last week, while protocols are beginning to be lifted, it is important to note that for schools, all existing protocols will remain in place.  Not only are face masks still required, but also the 72-hour fever free minimum timeframe to return to school after an illness is still in effect.  Communion of Saints will continue to follow the protocols so that we may hopefully end the school year without a Covid breakout.
While you are resuming activities such as gatherings and sports, please make it a priority to bring your children back to mass on weekends.    Now, more than ever, it is important to spend time worshipping and giving thanks for all the gifts we have received.

Nothing is possible without God and with God, all things are possible!

Enjoy the long weekend!  Stay safe!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Whiteley
