Lenten Soup Suppers

Wednesdays in Lent

5:30 - 7:00 PM

We had over 100 in attendance again at Wednesday's Soup Supper. Even if you've missed one or both of the previous weeks, you are most welcome to join in this week! The "Way of Love" programming continues, focusing on PRAY. Every week in Lent, The Revs. Matt & Vicki will explore a different practice (Turn, Learn, Pray, Worship, Bless, Go, & Rest) to help us better follow the loving, liberating, life-giving way of Jesus. Please RSVP to bring a soup or just your appetite!

Baptism Prep Classes

This Sunday, 9:15 AM

Our series of three Baptism Prep Classes will begin this Sunday, March 3, in the downstairs Chapel and continue for the next two weeks. These classes are open to anyone, but they are particularly recommended for those planning to be baptized this year. We currently have baptisms scheduled for the Easter Vigil (March 30), Pentecost (May 19), and All Saints' Day (November 3). If you would like to be baptized and have not already completed the Baptism Request Form, please click below.

The Reimagined Archangel

Transition to Digital Version

The March-April-May Archangel has been mailed and should already be arriving at your homes. As you'll read on page two of the newsletter, this will be the final bulk-mailed Archangel. In an effort to be better stewards of both the church's resources and the environment, we are transitioning to a digital newsletter unless you "opt in" to continue to receive one mailed. Even though you are getting a hard copy this time, we ask you to please also access the digital version (by clicking below) to start transitioning to this interface.

Spring Supper Club

Join at Colorado College's Cornerstone Arts Center (825 N Cascade Ave) for a feature-length documentary about the first women ordained as priests in the Episcopal Church on July 29, 1974. No RSVP required. Coffee at 9:00. Film at 9:30.

IHN Hosting Week

Volunteer Jobs for All!

March 24 - 31

We've continued to make great progress filling the many volunteer opportunities for our upcoming IHN hosting week, but we still have roughly 40 open slots (21 cooking, serving, and cleaning during the week; 13 laundry at your own home at the end of the week; and 6 take-down crew). It is such a blessing that St. Michael's is in a position to provide temporary shelter, showers, and meals in our building for these families, and we hope you can join in supporting this significant effort. Be sure to save the date for the IHN Volunteer Lunch Meeting on Sunday, March 17 from 12:00 - 1:30 PM. An Afternoon with

The Saint John's Bible

March 9, 1:00 - 5:00 PM

Drop in for an afternoon with The Saint John's Bible anytime between 1:00 and 5:00 PM next Saturday, March 9. The docents will be showing three volumes: The Pentateuch, Psalms, and Gospels & Acts; as well as the video, The Illuminator (48min), at 2:00 and 3:30 PM, which gives background information on the making of this Bible. All are welcome - no RSVP required.

SMASH Event

Tuesday, March 12, 3:00 PM

The SMASH (St. Mike's Active Senior Happening) group is at it again! They are headed on a tour of the Icons at Holy Theophany Orthodox Church (2770 North Chestnut Street, Colorado Springs) followed by an early dinner at Mollica's (985 Garden of the Gods Rd). The tour will be from 3:00 - 4:00 PM with dinner anticipated at 4:30 PM. This is limited to 20 guests, so please sign up early. St. Patrick's Fish Fry

March 15, 5:30 - 7:30 PM

St. Mike's BBQ Ministry is once again hosting their annual St. Patrick's FISH FRY!!! Join for a time of fellowship and frivolity to celebrate the patron Saint of Ireland. Come enjoy an Irish beer, wine, or non-alcoholic beverage along with a delicious meal. Suggested donation of $10. RSVP to attend and/or to help.

Thistle Farms Products

Available in St. Bede's Bookstore

If you were unable to attend church last Sunday to see Becca Stevens and shop the wonderful Thistle Farms products, you're in luck! We purchased the remainder of the items they brought with them, and those are available for sale in the St. Bede's Bookstore in the hall outside the church office. The bug spray comes highly recommended for travel, camping, etc. as do the body balm, oils, bath soaks, and teas. Credit card payments are accepted.

Spirituality of Aging Part 2

Thursdays, April 11 - May 9

1:00 - 2:30 PM

This 5-week small group for those 65 and older will explore together what it looks like to live meaningful, purposeful lives in elderhood. They will examine how elders can use their gifts to enhance a sense of meaning in their lives and how to uncouple the use of one's gifts from a sense of accomplishment. The group will be facilitated by spiritual directors, Sue Caruthers and Margie Arms, and it will be limited to 12 people, so click below to sign up if you're interested.

Easter Candy Donations

Easter Egg Hunt - March 31, 9:30 AM

As we gear up for Easter, we would greatly appreciate Easter Candy donations for our annual Easter Egg Hunt. Please drop off peanut-free candy to the church office either on Sunday mornings or during office hours 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM Monday through Thursday. We are accepting donations through Wednesday, March 20. Many thanks in advance!!!

Palm Sunday Brunches

Volunteers Needed

On Palm Sunday, we will once again be having our traditional brunches following both the 8:00 AM & 10:30 AM services. No RSVP is required to attend, but volunteers are needed. If you can help prepare, serve, or clean up, please click below to sign up. St. Mike's Softball

Season Opener March 12!

The St. Mike's Softball team is back for another season, and we want you on our team! Games will take place on Tuesday evenings at Cottonwood Creek Park (7040 Rangewood Dr) from March 12 - April 23. Anyone 18+ is invited to play. The cost is $40 per player (not subs) which includes league fee and a team shirt. Questions?
