On the Horizon: New Museum Planned!

Big news! The Marshall Center is moving forward on plans to build a new museum addition to promote the growth and long-term sustainability of Dodona Manor.

The Town of Leesburg has granted initial approval for the preliminary plan for the museum space, which will reduce unnecessary wear and tear on Dodona Manor; leverage technology to boost our educational programs; and support increased learning, historical research and exhibit preparation.

The new facility will deliver:

1) Educational Facilities: The building will give the Marshall Center a home for its growing ethical leadership training programs.

2) Expanded Exhibit Space: The building will provide new modern, tech-friendly exhibit space.

3) Improved Visitor Support: The building will efficiently host visitors and student groups, especially those with limited mobility and other physical challenges.

Update: Public Tour Schedule

Please note that Dodona Manor will be closed for public tours from December 19 through March 2 of next year for scheduled maintenance.

November 17: Foreign Policy Forum

A New View of Energy Security: Economic Fundamentals and Geopolitical Risk

Join us on Thursday, November 17 from Noon to 1:30 p.m. ET for a Zoom discussion with Susan Farrell, a 30+ year veteran of the energy industry and expert in long term energy market supply, demand and investment.

The United States is the largest oil and gas producer in the world. It is also the largest consumer and is subject to global pressures from supply, demand and geopolitics. The 2020 pandemic set in motion a series of disruptions that caused energy prices to rise well before the invasion of Ukraine. The 2022 sanctions on oil from Russia and its subsequent curtailment of natural gas flows to Europe have caused further price turmoil and raised the real specter of gas shortages during the winter heating season.

Susan Farrell has worked for over 30 years in the energy industry, advising international and national oil company executives on future energy trends and asset investment strategies. Before starting her own firm at the end of 2021, Susan was a Vice President at IHS Markit (now S&P Global), where she led the long-term energy scenarios and climate-related risk practice.
