Join FTA for our first adaptive hike on the Florida Trail!
This event is being held February 22, 2024 at Mike Roess Goldhead Branch State Park in Keystone Heights, FL. We are offering 4, one hour long hikes throughout the day. Participants will be assigned a specific time slot based upon your availability and the needs of all hikers throughout the day. We will do our best to accommodate everyone that wants to participate with FTAccess. There might be situations where limitations in staffing and volunteer availability and skill set determine our ability to host events in a timely manner.
Our core belief is that, for a person with a disability, the opportunity to experience the thrill of accomplishment can be a life-affirming experience. We are committed to including the families and friends of our participants, volunteers, and partner organizations in our community.
Anyone who believes they would benefit from the Joelette is welcome to utilize this program. We do not require you to disclose your disability and we only ask for details that would ensure we can provide a safe experience for you or your loved one.
