Our New Pro Plan!
PathWise’s Basic Membership is and will continue to be free, but if you’re looking for something more, we’re ‘soft launching’ our new Pro Membership, which is designed to get you the help you need to keep your career on track. Pro Membership is a bargain. On top of all the benefits of Basic Membership, Pro Membership offers the following:
· An annual Career Health Check assessment and accompanying one-hour discussion of your results with one of our PathWise Career Coaches
· A resume review and refresh, also with one of our PathWise Career Coaches. We’ve allocated two hours for this service, but if you want to use part or all of it for other career coaching, that’s fine too!
· Access to our Fast Track courses, which cover key career-related topics. These are available online, to be viewed at your convenience, and are typically 60-90 minutes in length. The first course on Networking is already available (details below), a second one on Personal Branding will be out in the next few weeks, and more are in development.
· Access to our full library of Book Summaries
· Access to our full library of tools, templates, cheat sheets, and frameworks

New Course on Networking
Our first Fast Track course is now available! Our Fast Track series will cover specific topics in 60-90 minutes. Our first course is called Networking Like a Pro. In it, we cover why networking is so important, how it can help your career, basic and advanced networking strategies, and more. We draw from recognized experts like Keith Ferrazzi and Dorie Clark to bring you leading ideas to help you raise your networking game.
Five Ways to ‘Spring Clean’ Your Professional Life
Spring is in the air in the Northern Hemisphere, and you’re probably doing some spring cleaning in your personal life. But what if you applied that concept to your professional life? Here are five ideas to get you started.
1. Reduce your meeting burden. Take a look at all your standing meetings, whether 1x1s or larger group meetings. Which ones are still helping you get your job done? Which
ones feel like unnecessary obligations or have devolved into chit-chat sessions? Cancel the ones you no longer need and gain time back for yourself.
2. Shed bad work habits. All of us pick up unhelpful habits in the course of our day-to-day work or broader career journeys. These could be things that waste time, things we outright ignore, or things we put off until just before a deadline. Pick one and commit to shaking it to make yourself more effective.
3. Clear out your files. We live in an electronic era, so hopefully you aren’t keeping too many paper files anymore, but if you are, find a shred bin in the office and get rid of what you don’t need. And then commit to going electronic. The environment will thank you.
4. Drop unhelpful mindsets. If you’ve read Carol Dweck’s Mindset, you’ll know that all of us oscillate between having a growth mindset and a fixed mindset. Ask yourself, “What mindsets are holding me back?” Perhaps it’s a lack of confidence, or negativeity, or a hesitancy to learn a new skill. Whatever it is, make a pact with yourself to confront it and rid yourself of it.
5. Develop a new system. James Clear, author of Atomic Habits, says, “You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.” Commit to instituting at least one new system to help you be more efficient and effective at work. Perhaps it’s a better filing system for your emails. Or maybe it’s a library of slides you can consistently re-use. Just pick a new system, and put it in place.
