New cutting-edge technology at White Mountains Community College enhances learning

From old school to new tools, White Mountains Community College is changing the way students in the college’s industrial mechanics program are learning the profession. Using COVID-19 funds, WMCC was able to purchase a Hololens 2 mixed reality device and the FIXTURLASER ECO laser alignment system, bringing new augmented reality tools to its classrooms and labs.

Back End Coding Boot Camp at Nashua Community College celebrated its first graduation on March 10

Increasingly, short-term training programs are exactly what job-seekers are looking for to enter high-demand careers in the Granite State, and NH’s community colleges have been busy creating them. For many, this is a direct route to employment in their communities because they have been developed in partnership with area businesses that are hiring.   An example can be found at Nashua Community College, which has built upon its successful microelectronics bootcamp to create new offerings in different types of coding. The 18-week programs help students from all backgrounds gain the skills they need quickly and affordably so they can begin a career in software development. Eateries, Educators Partner For Coronavirus Safety Program In NH

NH restaurants and community colleges have teamed up to create a free, online education initiative for employees and businesses in the hospitality sector to be trained on the latest coronavirus safety protocols for eateries, bars, bakeries, and other establishments.
