Let there be light. Since we are now seeing so much more of the sun... let’s celebrate how things are opening up all about the Sunapee region. Though some things are strangely off in many ways, the overall tempo is picking up. School’s out. Boats are being launched. Restaurants are serving indoors & out. Dogs & their people are walking the roadsides in full force. Shopkeepers have opened their doors, and we welcome the new establishments. Saturday mornings in Sunapee Harbor has been abuzz as the Farmers Markethas opened to the delight of many. (Even a rainstorm did not daunt shoppers on opening day.) Communities all around have announced plans for music on their bandstands once again. The Barn Playhouse and Northern Stage will be performing under tents throughout the summer. Gardeners have filled town gardens with bright flowers. Snowbirds have flocked back to New Hampshire and we’re all back into our seasonal rhythms, this year more than ever! Determination in our bedrock communities has seen us through the challenges of this past year... and the Summer Solstice is just around the corner.
