The Society of Television Engineers invites you to join us on Thursday, February 15th, to learn about the impact of Satellite on the broadcast television industry and how it has developed to the distribution network of today.

State of the Arc' Broadcast Satellite in 2023

  • Satellite distribution from the start - A brief tour of the growth of video satellite distribution from early years.
  • Signal design and satellite bandwidth allocation - How transponders are 'loaded' to the ways to 'put more bits' into the MHZ allocated.
  • Multi-channel delivery - How Satellite is bringing more channels today than ever before.
  • C-band spectrum - How the C-band frequency sale impacted technology in the US.
  • GEO, Meo, and Leo - Growth of Satellite - The development of new orbits and how IP is transforming the video market over satellite.

This will be a great networking opportunity to exchange information about available opportunities in media.
