MGH/HMS Leadership Position Opportunities | |
Are you interested in helping MGH enhance diversity in clinical trials? | |
The MGH Division of Clinical Research is seeking a faculty consultant for the Community Access, Recruitment & Engagement (CARE) Research Center to assist investigators in improving diverse and inclusive recruitment of underrepresented groups in clinical trials, including racial and ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ groups, rural populations, individuals of low socioeconomic status, and identities that intersect with these areas.
In addition to serving as point of contact for the CARE consultation service, below is a list of responsibilities for the faculty serving in this role.
- Advise and assist investigators in developing recruitment plans and strategies to enhance recruitment from diverse populations
- Help investigators cultivate relationships with community partners
- Encourage community engagement in research programs
- Participate in educational efforts of the DCR through lecturing and serving as a subject matter expert
This faculty position is a 0.2 FTE effort.

HMS Faculty Director for Continuing Education and Strategy | |
Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME), a unit within the Office of External Education at Harvard Medical School, is conducting an internal search for a Faculty Director for Continuing Education (CE) and Strategy. This is an up to 0.5 FTE role
The faculty director would provide strategic leadership for the development, delivery and review of CE strategy, work on special CE projects, and engage with and develop relationships with HMS affiliates across the 16 affiliate hospitals of Harvard Medical School. The faculty director will also lead the identification of new business opportunities in CE outside the HMS ecosystem. The director will also serve as the academic and education lead to ensure HMS retains Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE). The faculty director will report to the Senior Associate Dean for Postgraduate Medical Education, Ajay K. Singh, MBBS, FRCP (UK), MBA.

The Chester Pierce Research Society (CPRS) is a quarterly speaker series named in honor of the late Professor Emeritus in Psychiatry Chester Pierce, MD, the first African-American physician-scientist and full professor at Mass General. CPRS exposes the Mass General and external community to novel basic science, clinical, translational, health services and disparities research by our talented UiM physicians and scientists.

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month in May, Stories of the MGH is collaborating with the MGH Dauten Family Center for Bipolar Treatment Innovation and the Inclusion Campaign on a new series called “In My Head, In My Words”.
We are looking for stories and experiences- whether personal or as a caretaker/ friend/ relative- about living with and caring for mood disorders and other mental health conditions. Storytellers should approach their stories with authenticity and honesty.

The Disparities Leadership Program (DLP) is now taking applications for the 2024-25 class. DLP is a year-long executive education program solely focused on helping healthcare leaders achieve equity in quality. It aims to translate the latest understanding of disparities into actionable solutions within your organization. Through the DLP, we aim to equip leaders to tackle healthcare transformation challenges by improving quality for populations experiencing disparities.
Letters of intent are due Friday, July 12, 2024, and applications are due Friday, August 2, 2024.
